  • Level III, 13-bed NICU
  • 3,000+ annual deliveries with approximately 225 NICU admissions
  • Exposure to a wide range of cases—from routine newborn care to complex, high-acuity cases

Meaningful Clinical Autonomy

  • Lead neonatal resuscitations and stabilization efforts
  • Manage critically ill neonates with confidence
  • Coordinate transports to and from regional nurseries
  • Practice independently while covering the newborn service

Collaborative Care Model

  • Work alongside a dedicated team including:
  • Neonatologists
  • OB hospitalists
  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists
  • Staffing model ensures 1 Neonatologist + 1 NNP per shift
  • Manageable patient census supports quality care and work-life balance

Qualifications

  • NNP-BC certification required
  • Active or eligible North Carolina licensure
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level III or IV NICU
  • Current NRP certification
