Float Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner in Central North Carolina-Closed 4 Holidays

A respected private, not-for-profit healthcare organization serving the mid-Carolinas is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team. This will be a float position traveling between seven clinics located within one hour of the greater Pinehurst area.
Position Highlights
- Float between 7 urgent care locations in central North Carolina
- Clinics are open 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Four recognized holidays annually when clinics are closed include the 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 scheduled clinical hours per week and 4 hours of paid administrative time weekly
- Strong efforts made to ensure providers leave the clinic by 8:00 PM
- Average patient volume of approximately 40 patients per day
- Epic EMR platform
- On-site imaging and diagnostic testing
- Established transfer processes with health system emergency departments for higher-acuity patients
- Collaborative culture with strong physician and advanced practice provider partnerships

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with urgent and episodic healthcare needs
- Perform procedures commonly encountered in an urgent care setting
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including imaging and laboratory studies
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care
Qualifications Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of three years of experience treating patients of all ages in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
- Current, unrestricted North Carolina NP license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
