A leading integrated healthcare system in Connecticut is seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join a high-acuity inpatient hospital medicine team in Hartford County, working nights. This is an exceptional opportunity to care for a diverse and medically complex patient population while working within a collaborative, physician-supported environment.

Providers are supported by a strong hospitalist model that includes two Advanced Practice Providers and two physicians on every shift, ensuring excellent teamwork and clinical support.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time night schedule, 7 PM to 7 AM
  • 7-on/7-off work rotation

Responsibilities

Under established clinical guidelines and in collaboration with supervising physicians, the Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner will:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations
  • Diagnose, evaluate, and manage hospitalized patients
  • Develop and implement medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic studies and laboratory results
  • Facilitate appropriate referrals and consultations

Qualifications Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current or eligible Connecticut APRN licensure
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
  • One or more years of inpatient hospitalist experience
