The largest and most integrated behavioral health system in New England is adding a Psychiatry Medical Director to our Adult Mood Disorders Unit in southwest Connecticut. This physician-led organization includes a robust network of hospitals, medical groups, and specialty services dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality care while fostering professional growth and well-being.
About the Opportunity:
- This is a leadership role that combines clinical excellence, teaching, and program development
- Primary teaching hospital for Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine
- Lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a 76-bed inpatient unit while shaping the next generation of psychiatrists through resident and medical student education.
- The Director will play an integral role in patient care, faculty development, and academic advancement within one of New England's largest and most comprehensive behavioral health systems.
- This is a Medical Director leadership role within a specialized Adult Mood Disorders Unit
- Lead and collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team
- Provide direct inpatient psychiatric care to adults experiencing mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders
- Participate in resident supervision and medical student teaching
- No required after-hours call
- Optional moonlighting opportunities for additional income
