Primary Care/Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner in Northern Oklahoma City Suburb

A well-established, patient-centered healthcare organization in Edmond, Oklahoma, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with an additional focus on Rheumatology. This position offers the opportunity to provide primary care and specialized care for patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions in a collaborative outpatient setting focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine.

Position Summary

  • Full-time, on-site position
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Approximately 20 patients per day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases in collaboration with supervising physicians and care team members.
  • Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring efficacy and side effects.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and assess disease activity and treatment response.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license and national certification (FNP, AGNP, or equivalent).
  • Eligibility for licensure and practice in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Clinical experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, family medicine, or primary care.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, medication management, and treatment planning.
