A regional health system north of Boston, with three campuses, is hiring an Interventional Cardiologist. Serving 13 cities and towns throughout the Merrimack Valley, the system delivers a full spectrum of high-quality care, from primary care to advanced specialty services in surgery, OB/GYN, cardiology, urology, and more. About the opportunity:
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on invasive and catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- The physician will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular services tailored to the needs of a community hospital population. This role emphasizes clinical excellence, accessibility, teamwork, and commitment to quality and safety.
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including but not limited to: Coronary angiography, Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), including stent placement, and Management of acute coronary syndromes (STEMI and NSTEMI)
- Provide on-call interventional coverage as required for emergent cardiac cases.
- Evaluate and manage patients pre- and post-procedure, ensuring continuity of care.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations.
- Participate in longitudinal management of cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and valvular heart disease.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers and other specialists to ensure seamless transitions across care settings.
