Rheumatology Physician Assistant in Northern Oklahoma City Suburb

A well-established, patient-centered healthcare organization in Edmond, Oklahoma is seeking a compassionate and motivated Rheumatology Physician Assistant to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized care for patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions in a collaborative outpatient setting focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine.
Position Summary
- Full-time, on-site position
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Approximately 20 patients per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases in collaboration with supervising physicians and care team members.
- Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring efficacy and side effects.
- Conduct follow-up visits and assess disease activity and treatment response.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- NCCPA Certification
- Eligibility for licensure and practice in the state of Oklahoma.
- Provider experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, family medicine, or primary care.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, medication management, and treatment planning.
