Regional Director of Behavioral Health for Northeast Market

We seek a proven leader with strong written/verbal communication skills, and extensive experience in providing evidenced based inpatient behavioral health treatment to be our full-time Medical Director for an In Patient Behavioral health service lie with a capacity of 65 inpatient adult and geriatric beds. We also have a Med-Psych specialty trained nurse practitioners. Patients receive a psychiatric consultation with psych med management, social work services and activity therapy as needed. For consideration, candidate will be Board Certified Psychiatrist in Virginia and Tennessee. The Medical Director will role model teamwork and professionalism while working closely with the Program Director to maintain compliance and ensure highest quality care for our patients. The Medical Director will have administrative responsibility for behavioral health provider sand advanced practice providers. Certification in ECT, or willingness to become certified, is also desired.

Adult and geriatric inpatient programs
Robust social work department providing individual, group and family therapy. EMDR services
24/7 nursing care to monitor safety of all patients
Strong involvement by internal medicine Hospitalists who complete medical history and physical with each patient. Inpatient BH service also supported by PT, pharmacy, radiology, wound care.
- Medical Degree. MD or DO
- Licensed to practice in VA AND TN
- DEA license and corresponding license to prescribe controlled substances in VA and TN
- BC in American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- ECT certification or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Long-term interest in staying with this employer
