About the Opportunity

• The Medical Director will oversee our Adult Hospital Medicine Program.
• This role involves ensuring the highest standard of patient care, managing the hospitalist team, collaborating with other departments and services, and driving continuous improvement in hospital operations.
• The Medical Director will work collaboratively with the Program Manager of Adult Hospital Medicine, the Executive Director of Inpatient Medicine and Surgical Services, and the Associate Medical Director of Hospital Medicine. 
• Provide direct clinical care to hospitalized patients (0.5 FTE).
• Participate in credentialing of providers.
• Develop and implement clinical guidelines, pathways, and quality improvement 
• A 179-bed nonprofit community hospital with a 14-bed critical care unit
• The medical staff of more than 300 Physicians provides care to over 300,000 people
• Clinical collaborations with Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's, Tufts Medical Center, and Beth Israel-Lahey Health
• Established hospitalist team with 12 providers
• Intensivists cover the critical care unit
