This community-owned-and-operated, nonprofit health system is dedicated to providing local access to high-quality medical care to people and businesses in Boulder and surrounding areas. With low physician turnover, this need to hire additional outpatient internists is due to succession planning and allows the incoming provider to join a highly engaged physician and medical staff. There are currently 105 employed physicians and 62 employed advanced practice providers. 

As an outpatient internist, the position will entail some of the following details:

  • 4-day work week with 33 patient contact hours and seven built-in administrative hours 
  • 1:1 MA to internist ratio 
  • 2-3 weeks of light phone call per YEAR with nurse triage line 
  • 40-minute new patient visits and 20-minute follow-up visits 
  • Epic EMR at hospital campus and all outpatient facilities 
  • $295,000 starting base salary plus wRVU bonus and quality bonus 
  • Full roster of specialists that are employed by the practice, along with a 13-person hospitalist team
