A rural community hospital in northern Maine is adding a Hospitalist to work closely with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. With more than 400 employees, they are the largest employer in the area.

Opportunity Details

• 7 on/ 7 off block schedule
• 12 hours shifts from 7 am-7 pm
• The average daily census is 14
• Daily admits one to four
• All admissions through the Emergency Department
• Patient types: Four intermediate care beds (No ICU), Medical/Surgical, Observation, Swing and Days Waiting Placement
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• Strong nursing and support staff
• BE or BC IM or FM with hospitalist experience
• 25-bed critical access hospital serving the needs of 17,000 people
