A rural community hospital in northern Maine is adding a Pediatrician.

Opportunity Details

• 2 Pediatricians and one NP
• A 4-day work week in the outpatient clinic. No weekends or holidays in the outpatient clinic
• The average daily patient census is 14-16
• Inpatient consists of an occasional pediatric admission -less than 10
• Pediatricians round on newborn nursery. 100-120 annual births
• Pediatricians only attend births that may develop into high-risk or after-hour c-sections We are contracted with a NICU unit that will arrive should a “sick” baby be born
• Less than 10 newborns are transported annually
• Call is 1:2 however with a low admission rate and low birth rate, call back is limited
• 25-bed critical access hospital with 10 Emergency Medicine Department
• Our hospital serves the needs of 17,000 people
• We have more than 400 employees, making us the largest employer in the area
